what the... 1 year?! che!

HOLA!!!! :)
Yep... it´s true.... believe it or not I hit ONE YEAR IN THE MISSION this Thursday! :) :) Pretty crazy, eh?
It´s been an awesome week here in Olmos! Things are already getting a lot better! Last transfer had a lot of challenges, which really kicked us emotionally (even though the work went really well last transfer and we finished strong), but this transfer we´re pumped and WAY excited cuz it´s gonna be amazing!! We finally have a ton of people who are progressing and (hopefully) will get baptized this transfer! Can I just say Olmos is by far the best area there is?? It´s AMAZING! Our bishop is one of the best people I´ve ever met in my life, the members go out of their way to do anything they can for us (like Sunday when we didnt have lunch so 2 different people from the RS brought us lunch), the recent converts are super strong and help us tons in visitas, and.... ugh! I can´t even explain it! I´m so in love with this ward!
Well, we had some fun experiences this last week. We have a member (Maria Soledad) who just got baptized in December who´s 18, and always comes out with us. On Thursday she came with us, but our plans fell, so we asked her if she knew anyone we could visit. So she took us to her friend Rosa´s house, where we had an awesome lesson, and found both her and her sister. Her parents were busy inside, and while we were there some friends of their´s came over, but we only got to say hi and they went inside too.
The next day we were on the complete opposite side of our area, and we had about half an hour extra before a cita, so we decided to clap some doors (yes, clap. There´s no such thing as knocking in Argie). We started going, and talked to a few people, but nothing great. Then, we clapped a door and were waiting, and I looked behind me and saw a little house a little down the road and said "I wanna go to that one!" But, seeing as we had just clapped a door, we had to wait to see if someone would come. After a few seconds I got impatient and said "let´s go!" SO we rode over to the other house I had seen and clapped. A woman came out right away, and was super amable (nice) with us! We started talking, and she said "weren´t you two in the quintas (crop fields) yesterday?" Turns out that she was the friend of Rosa´s parents we had just met the day before! We shared a folleto with her (Teresa) of the plan of salvation and she LOVED it! She kept saying how priveledged we were to have this knowledge and to be on this path. Later that week we went back and had one of the best lessons I´ve ever had. Just like everyone else here in Olmos, she has to get married to get baptized, but we´ll get her there! It´s really neat seeing how the Lord leads us to those who are prepared to receive the gospel.
So... life is good! We should have some awesome updates this transfer! I´m gonna get going so I can send some pics. I love you all tons and tons!!! Take care and be good.
Besitos,
Hermana Dev
